Roger Williams And The Anatomy Of Social Collapse

When you think of the name “Roger Williams,” what’s the first thing that comes to mind. Innocent martyr in the cause of American liberty, correct?
Roger Williams Rejects Correction
Everybody knows the story of Roger Williams. Persecuted by the Puritans, he was driven into the bitter cold New England winter as a champion in the cause of religious freedom. That popular caricature deserves closer examination.
Under Roger Williams Rhode Island became the first religiously neutral colony in America. The Charter states simply that leaders are to be selected from the population of free men with no religious qualification. It then asserts that this lack of regard for Christianity will somehow issue in peace and freedom for the citizens.
Roger Williams was America’s first advocate of “principled pluralism,” a theory which promises peaceful coexistence of diverse beliefs, but almost always produces strife. Williams became so disruptive in Massachusetts that the Puritan fathers were left with no choice but to deport him back to England. Before that mild sentence could be executed, however, Williams fled into the wilderness and became a martyr in the eyes of the world.
Roger Williams Rejects Covenant
Roger Williams’ Rhode Island was a radical departure from all of the other colonies. For example, in Massachusetts the main qualification to public office was an oath of allegiance to the law of God and membership in His church. Apart from this no social order can be sustained.
Such an oath was anathema in Providence. Law was defined by whoever was elected to govern, regardless of their religious persuasion or lack thereof. There was no reference to the Bible whatsoever, as in Massachusetts.
In the name of shaking off the religious persecution usually associated with an established church, Williams rejected God’s requirement that civil leaders swear to govern in accordance with His law. In Ezekiel 16:59, God condemned the nation of Israel who had “despised the oath in breaking the covenant.”
The Biblical approach requires a renewal of the broken covenant rather than rejecting it like Roger Williams. The Biblical covenant guarantees liberty and freedom of conscience for the stranger within Israel (resident unbeliever), but does not allow him to participate in the government (Ezekiel 22:23-24).
According to historian J. D. Davis, “The stranger was not a full citizen, yet he had recognized rights and duties” (1). In fact, he enjoyed equal protection under the law of God: “Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God” (Lev. 24:22). Moreover, the Bible reserved a special malediction for any of God’s people who dared to take advantage of a stranger (Ex. 22:23-24).
Without the protections of Biblical law, Rhode Island because a magnet for all of the lawless and malcontents within the colonies. These plagued Williams the same way he had plagued the leadership in Massachusetts, earning the colony a reputation as “Rogue Island.” His rejection of Biblical law undermined the foundations for social order in the name of tolerance.
It was ironic that Rhode Island was the last state to ratify the Constitution since it was her destructive system that was being adopted by the founding fathers. Since that time the Christian foundations of society have been steadily eroded by the shifting tide of pluralism and religious toleration.
The folly of Roger Williams’ theology became glaringly obvious on August 8, 1989 when Rhode Island declared the “religion” of witchcraft to be tax exempt like any other church. Ideas always have consequences although it may take a while for them to manifest.

3. “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?” This happens to be one of the classic ones. I mean the issue about life’s little problems isn’t all that bad, until ‘he’ shows up.
Sure, relationships can get complicated, or does have its complications that probably any author about relationships is bound to discover it soon. We follow what our heart desires, unless you’re talking about the heart as in the heart that pump blood throughout your body.
4. “Love is the answer, but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions.” And if you want more, just keep on questioning!
5. “A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said ‘no’.” It sounds, ‘sensible’, I assume.
Furthermore in everyday life, Woody Allen in actual fact can make the best out of all possible circumstances, and it doesn’t attract a court case if he strikes a nerve.
6. “Basically my wife was immature. I’d be at home in the bath and she’d come in and sink my boats.” I never had a boat in my bathtub before. Just staring at it while soaking in hot water makes me seasick already.

Notwithstanding what may occur to all of us in the next ten, twenty, or even thirty years, I guess we all have to see things in a different kind of light and not just perspective. What Really Makes You Tick?” 10 Questions You Should Ask To Yourself: A Preparation To Self-improvement (Part 2)
May 21, 2010 by Abraham Saleh

5. Have I done sufficiently for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every facets of our life can be hazardous in large doses, but you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing in small amounts.
6. Am I pleased at where I am today?
It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!
7. Am I pleasing to the opposite sex?
So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit.
8. How much could I have?
My presumption in this case is that there are no such things on having things too much or too little, but it’s more on how badly you really need it. I’d like to have lots of money, no denying that, but the question is that how much are you willing to exert effort for it?
9. What stimulates me?
What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of these may be the hardest part. It’s not like you can’t have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that’s it. Just try it piece by piece.
10. What Actually Makes You Tick?
What then in actual fact makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always bare in mind, that self-improvement is not just about the corporal or philosophical change you have to experience, but it’s something that you really wish for.

Mormon Culture and LDS Records – What Do They Believe In?

Those that support the Mormon religion will value the background basics that the Mormons stand on. They believe in large families and it is a ruling that when a young man reaches the age of 19 years to dedicate two years of his life free of service in order to be a missionary and preach for recruitment of the church. There are many conservative lifestyles that the Mormon live and this is by choice. For anyone that is friends to a Mormon or is in contact with one that will be amused by some of their words! For example such as gosh dammit.
There are many parts of the Mormon religion that are quite often overlooked. When it comes to looking at their way of living for example they do not drink alcohol or coffee yet on the other hand they are well known for having good times amongst themselves. The reason that they abstain from these is because of Joseph Smiths teaching that they were not to drink anything that was strong or hot based on the fact that it was better for their health . In addition to this Mormons will certainly not resort to foul language
As said the Mormon religion believes in large families and this is based on the commandment that was given to Adam and Eve to replenish the earth . It must be remembered that the Mormons believe that their families are going to exist in their next life once they pass on and therefore it is important that they build their family relationships now in order to be able to thoroughly enjoy them through eternity.
It must be remembered also that the young male missionaries that go out and do their part take their responsibility very seriously. No matter what they may be involved in such as school or business their responsibility is that they offer two years to do the recruitment and promoting the reading of the book of Mormon which was written by Joseph Smith. During this period of time you will find these young missionaries will not party or date in any way. Their entire focus must be on preaching the word and spreading what their book of Mormon tells them.
There some other aspects of the Mormon religion that many people cannot understand. Mormons wear what they consider as a sacred underwear and their place of worship is classed as temples. Some of the ordinances that are carried out in the temples are quite secretive and restricted to certain members or attendants. When it comes to their weddings they are conducted in special chambers and not referred to as weddings but are called sealing. Although many may have controversies with the Mormon religion one thing that cannot be taken away from them is theirdedication to their beliefs.
It is unlikely that any time soon that Mormons are going to have to quit defending their religion being as if this is something that has been going on for many years. On the other hand it’s very unlikely that one will see an end to the Mormon religion as it is a very strong religion particularly throughout the United States

LDS Mormon Beliefs And Secrets – LDS Ideas

If someone were to tell that in order to be a true believer in Christ that he only came to America, or you had to wear unique underwear would you perhaps not think that was a little unusual? Combine this with the omission of consuming acohol, tea or coffee and the fact there is one remaining prophet on earth then you may be learning about the Church of Latter Day Saints, or aka “Mormons”. If you are thinking that not too many people would pick up on these beliefs then you will be surprised to hear that this particular Church is the 4th largest in America.
What argument do Mormons make? Mormons create brave statements about their attitude. For instance, they stipulate that the Church of Latter Day Saints is a ?restored? edition of the unique Church recognized by Jesus Christ 2000 years before. They purport that they themselves know the beginning of existence, why we even exist and what the purpose of our death will be. The basis of their believe stems on that every being can gain individual knowledge in order to become familiar with what to do by means of their existence. They state that weddings and families can last for all time without end.
There are some various fascinating claims. In some cases though they are actually a spin off of what Christianity as we know it claims. Although many of the claims made by the Mormons are classified as weird or crazy, their argument is that so is many of the claims made by the Christians when made to the non believers.
The Mormons retort to the unbelief of those that approach them with accusations of being weird or crazy is that it is all based on their lack of knowledge of their faith. They will point out that the Mormons believe that the Son of God came to earth, died for everyone’s sins, and came back to life. They go on to stipulate that this sounds crazy to the non believer yet many Churches outside of their own teach these concepts.
While this is true that there is every indication that the Mormons do stand on this belief its what they have added to the Christian doctrine that causes the upheaval in what to believe. For example they believe that they themselves can become Gods by doing the right thing. They further believe that God himself was once bone, flesh and blood. It is all these add ons that really hurt the credibility of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Ironically enough many people to this day do not realize that this church is based on the Mormon beliefs. They are considered as two distinct entities. Another interesting factor about the Mormons is that their rituals are very much conducted in the same form as that of the free masons, yet neither of these entities claim any tie to the other.
The important lesson to learn here is that when considering any religion whether it be Mormonism or Christianity that one look at the religion in its entirety and not just its basics.

Latter Day Saints LDS Records – Life Of Joseph Smith
March 14, 2010 by Alfred Ras

Anyone that has heard anything about the Mormon religion has most likely heard the name Joseph Smith. This is a man that was born in Vermont during the year of 1805 in December and he was one of 11 children.
Josephs upbringing was that of a poor family. Education wise he only had actually three years of school and as part of his daily living it included instruction in the Bible as well as being taught to read and write by his parents.
Joseph certainly showed signs of bravery when as a youngster he ended up getting typhoid fever even through complications ended up meaning that the doctors wanted to amputate his leg. Joseph as well as his parents refused to have this done and requested that just a piece of the bone be removed. He would not take any type of alcohol to dull the pain and only asked that his father hold him down while the procedure was being done. His belief in the Lord at that time was great and he walked on crutches for three years but ended up with his leg healing.
When Joseph was 14 years old there was quite a religious campaign going on throughout New York and this campaign was by many churches looking for recruits Joseph was not sure just where to go so he prayed about it and this is where the conception of the first vision took place that Joseph is claimed to have had. Joseph purports that after this first vision he received many visions from other divine messengers besides God and Christ.
Tragedy still continued to follow Joseph even after he married. They ended up having nine children which included adopting two. Out of all these children only four survived and in fact the last child born came into the world five months after Joseph himself had died.
The Church of Mormons believe that Joseph was led to a hill in New York where he received some documentation in the holy records from an angel named Maroni and this was to have given some historical history about the Americas.
During Josephs leadership of the Mormon church he witnessed it grow from a mere six members to over 26,000. This was not without having to endure great persecution from other people. Joseph claimed himself as being a prophet of God and there is no doubt that his congregation and followers believed this as well. His death came about when he was murdered by a mob in 1844 this was done in prison where the claim is that he had been jailed for false charges concerning riot and treason.
It’s easy to see though that the religion that Joseph Smith started did not die when he and his brother did. The Mormon church is very strong in the United States and other countries as well.
It’s hard to get a handle on just want the actual doctrine of the Mormons is their church is officially called the Church of Latter Day Saints.
