This is based on women that stand a chance in the society to be celebrated for being standouts and hero for things they did to make a change to the society. They are written in history books and shall live to be remembered by our current and future generations. An example of the famous women in history include Mama Teresa, Oprah Winfrey, Queen Ann, Queen Elizabeth 1, Joan of Arc, Queen Isabella, Margret Thatcher among others.

Mama Teresa was a catholic nun born in 1910 to 1997, and the founder of a charity missionary group, a religious congregation that is catholic. It is conducted in over 133 countries worldwide with above 4000 nuns that serve in homes for those suffering from HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis. They conduct programs of counselling to schools, orphanages and families. For you to work in the missionary, you will have to accept vows of chastity, poverty and obedience.

Globally, she is popular for her TV talk show on known as the Oprah Winfrey Show. The show has been given the highest ratings than any other show thus describing her as a very influential character in the society. Born in 1954, she got raped at 9 though lost the child at infancy stage. She has several charity foundations that help the poor.

Queen Isabella (1451-1504) she and her husband Ferdinand 2 helped in unifying Spain, reduction of crimes and helping the poor. Her father died while she was 3 yrs making her half-brother Henry 4 king. Henry named her his successor but later withdrew his support when she married Ferdinand. Later Isabella became queen of Castile in 1479. At the moment her husband was king of Aragon helping them unite Spain.

Joan of Arc was born in 1412 and died in 1431. She started to have visions in 1424. Saint Michael, Saint Margaret, and Saint Catherine told her during the visions to join King Charles 7 in the fight of getting the English out of France. During this period, she helped in recapturing cities such as Paris, Reims, among others. Later she was arrested by the English and killed.

Queen Elizabeth is a famous woman born in 1533 and she died in 1603. King Henry 8 was her father. In the year 1558, she took over as queen in England. Helping in restoration of the Church of England doing away with the tensions between England and France. She was diplomatic ruler thus helping England in thriving.

Queen Anne (1665-1714) was the first married queen to rule England. She was born at times of controversy between the Protestants and Roman Catholics following the English civil war.When she became queen in 1702, she supported Spain in the war of Spanish succession and declared war on France. She also helped unite England and Scotland to Great Britain.

March is a month in which Australia, Canada and the UK celebrate the women in history for a week and later expand it to the whole month. Other countries have set specific dates that they celebrated the these exceptional women. Awards are given to them as well as getting honors.
